I’ve been on the road quite a bit the last few weeks. I was in Vegas for WPPI from the 14th-19th. Sorry I didn’t post any photos. WPPI is a massive convention for wedding and portrait photographers. I heard some reports that there were around 20,000 photographers there. I met some really great people who are also amazing photographers. Good times.
This week I’m in Dallas for another convention. I come to the SWPJC every year and I always stay with my good friend Louis DeLuca who is a staff photographer for the Dallas Morning News. Tonight I went with Louis to shoot a Dallas Mavricks game. I LOVE shooting sports. It’s so challenging and it’s a rush bring right on the hardwood where all the action is. In fact, one of the Mavricks players, Jason Kidd, landed on me when he went after the ball. Fortunately, I neither of us gor hurt and my gear was fine.
Here are some shots from the game

I did some experimenting tonight with my 45mm Tilt/Shift lens to try and get a unique look that you never see with basketball.
